Good morning! There’s no way to keep the perfect sunny weather of a Portland summer all year long ☀️ But the U.S. House of Representatives did just vote to make daylight saving time permanent. That would at least take the sting out of the winter season — if the Senate were to actually pass it.

‘Off Track’ on Arena Deal
At a Tuesday press conference, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver said negotiations between the city and the Trail Blazers “seems to have gone off track.” But Silver didn’t conclusively answer a question about whether the proposed $120 million commitment from City Council would be enough to keep the team here: “There are several open issues that still need to be resolved." 3 New Sites of Potential Measles Exposure
Anyone who recently visited three Providence Health locations during the specific times listed here may have been exposed to measles and should reach out to a health care provider.

Deflection Program Still a Work in Progress
There are still some weaknesses in Multnomah County’s program to divert people arrested for drug possession out of the criminal justice system. Even after recent changes, the deflection program is only helping a small number of people. Still, more are completing the program. [City Cast Portland 🎧]
