Latino Metro Councilor Asked to Speak English … While Speaking English

While speaking during a video work session last week, Metro Councilor Juan Carlos González was asked by Councilor Mary Nolan to “say that in English,” saying she didn’t understand him. 🍕 If you’ve been to Yum’s of PDX, you’re likely familiar with their Jersey Girl pie, which was inspired by owner Miriam Weiskind’s ex-girlfriend. And no, it’s not because her ex loved those ingredients so much that Weiskind knew it would be a success — it’s because the ex hated every ingredient on this now top-selling pizza!
