Unusual ICE Arrests
Interviews with more than a dozen protesters arrested at the U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement building found unusual circumstances around their detentions. About half have never been charged; some were never read their rights but were nonetheless questioned — sometimes about whether they were paid by antifa to attend protests, which is no more than a conspiracy theory. When most people think of Portland hip-hop, acclaimed rapper Aminé might be the only name that comes to mind. But Portland’s had a thriving hip-hop scene since the '80s. Today on City Cast Portland, we're talking with veteran local DJ Grant Stolle, aka "Verbz," who’s also the co-founder of hip-hop showcase The Thesis. He shared some music from the best Portland hip-hop artists performing right now and has tips on where to see them.
