🖼️ How well do you know Portland museums?
November 20, 2025 · — Rachel Monahan
Good morning! I took a couple of days off and pledged not to think about work, as one does. But I faced an unusual complication: I started my long weekend at Powell’s. And in case you haven’t seen it yet, there’s a giant City Cast Portland billboard right there — one of three that are up right now. Have you spotted them?

What's CITY Talking About
$7M Proposed Antitrust Settlement With Rent Setting
Attorney General Dan Rayfield yesterday announced a $7 million settlement with the largest landlord in the country. Oregon and nine other states had sued Greystar Management Services LLC: They accused the company of violating antitrust laws — using software that recommended rent increases based on data from a bunch of landlord competitors. This comes as Portland City Council is weighing whether to ban landlords from using algorithms to set rent. [OPB]

The Best (Mostly Indoor) Rainy Season Activities
No lift tickets are needed to explore some of the best, mostly indoor fall activities around Portland. Eden Dawn, co-author of “The Portland Book of Dates,” recommends the best board games, escape rooms, rainy-season hikes, and hot springs. [City Cast Portland 🎧]
Waterfront Blues Is Growing
The Waterfront Blues Festival is a highlight of Portland's summer months, so it was big news when organizers announced cuts for this past summer — decreasing the number of days from four to two. But now the festival is growing again — increasing to three days for 2026. [Oregonian]
