August 18, 2025 · — Rachel Monahan

Good morning! Today’s a good day to become a City Cast Portland Neighbor 🫶 Our membership program comes with perks — like members-only get-togethers, a weekly events email, and ad-free podcast listening 🎉

But today there’s an extra benefit for new members who join before midnight. We’re giving away three pairs of tickets to Thursday’s Mississippi Avenue Wine & Beverage Walk 🍷 (We’ll pick at random — and email you tomorrow morning if you win the tickets.)

What's DC Talking About

Longer Parking Meters

Starting on Tuesday, Sept. 2, you’ll need to pay for a meter till 10 p.m. — in Downtown, Old Town, and the Pearl District. But there will be a new option to pay for five hours of parking starting at 5 p.m. and keep your car in one spot — as well as a parking permit available to low-income households. [KOIN]
