🍴 The downtown restaurant Higgins has been focusing on local produce since before it was a Portland trend. Now, more than 30 years later, the restaurant is struggling after the pandemic emptied out downtown offices.

“Our beloved restaurant is on the brink,” chef Greg Higgins and co-owner Paul Mallory wrote in a Facebook post this weekend. “Every visit counts. Every night matters. We’re hanging on by a thread.” (Reservations are available — for dinner or lunch.)
