1st Measles Case
While there’s been a deadly measles outbreak in the Southwest this year, Oregon only now recorded its first measles case of 2025. An unvaccinated adult appears to have contracted the case during international travel. [OPB]
Lawmakers Approve Less Affordable Housing Funding
In her budget proposal, Gov. Tina Kotek asked for $700 million for creating affordable housing, but facing a declining revenue forecast, lawmakers are poised to give the governor just two-thirds of what she requested. That’s a setback for the governor’s priority issue of addressing the state’s housing shortage. [Oregonian]
