Police Sergeant Not Fired for Lying

A Portland police sergeant added an alt-right meme to a training presentation and lied about it, according to a report from the Police Review Board, which unanimously recommended he be fired. But former mayor Ted Wheeler and police chief Bob Day declined to further discipline Sgt. Jeffrey McDaniel beyond a 100-hour suspension. [KGW]
