What's CITY Talking About?
A Pacific Northwest Housing Strategy
Leaders from Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia are meeting in Portland to see if they can pursue a shared strategy to increase homebuilding in the Pacific Northwest. Among the strategies they’re pursuing are cutting red tape for building permits — by consolidating permitting offices (as Portland has recently done) — and zoning for housing development along commercial streets.
