Under a compromise between business and advocacy groups, the metro area homeless services tax could be extended an extra 20 years. The tax rate will gradually be lowered over time while the income that necessitates paying the tax will rise with inflation. Metro area county leaders have yet to approve the deal. [Willamette Week]
