Tolls Move Ahead for I-5 Bridge

Both Oregon and Washington’s transportation commissions voted last week to move forward with tolls to fund a new I-5 bridge across the Columbia. Four different tolling options are under consideration that vary on charges for trucks, at rush hour, and for inflation. The plan is to start tolling I-5 in 2026. So far there are no plans to toll I-205. [KGW]
