What's CITY Talking About?
Hillsboro’s Fluoride Ballot Measure
Hillsboro residents last voted on fluoride back in the early 1950s, but this year voters will have a chance to weigh in on starting to add the mineral (used to strengthen teeth) to the city’s water supply. It remains controversial and is still not in Portland’s water. [Oregonian]
New Tenant in Pioneer Place Mall
In a hopeful sign for downtown, Pioneer Place Mall has landed a new tenant. The Spanish fashion brand Mango, which competes with Zara and H&M, has filed permits to remodel space and open a store there. [Oregonian]
Warm, Sunny Weather Continues
In yet another example of warming weather, Portland likely had its second hottest month on record, meteorologists said yesterday, awaiting the final day of sunny weather. For the first week of October, it’s looking like it will stay 70 and sunny. [KOIN]
