Rubio Has Lost 2 Endorsements

Two groups pulled their endorsements of mayoral candidate Carmen Rubio after revelations that she got more than 150 parking and traffic tickets over a couple decades — and then recently scraped a Tesla in a parking lot (without leaving a note). Most high-profile backers are sticking with her, but the construction workers union LiUNA Local 737 and the transportation advocacy group The Street Trust Action Fund have pulled their support. Portland State Library Reopens

After four months of repairs costing more than $1 million, Portland State University’s library reopened. For three nights this spring, protesters calling for a ceasefire in Gaza occupied the library, causing extensive damage. [KGW]

The Most Sustainable Toilet Paper Is Oregon-Made

The environmental group Natural Resource Defense Council released its rankings of the most sustainable toilet paper brands, judged by their use of post-consumer recycled materials. The top honors went to Georgia-Pacific's Aria brand, which is manufactured only in Oregon. [Portland Business Journal 🔒]

The Swift Watch is back on — at a new location. In case you missed it, the Vaux’s swifts have left their usual spot at Chapman Elementary. Instead, last week, they spent the night at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral on Northeast Glisan. It’s not clear how long the migration will last, but if you go check it out, let me know how it’s going 🐦
