COVID cases are on the upswing in Oregon, as in nearly 40 states, with emergency room visits at their highest in months. Hospitalizations are so far relatively low, with immunity from previous cases and vaccines providing protection. [OPB]
Oregon Democrats’ ‘Hilariously’ False Report
The Democrat Party of Oregon faced a $15,000 fine for false reporting on a half-million-dollar donation from a cryptocurrency executive. Now a convicted felon for his role at the now-bankrupt FTX, Nishad Singh told investigators he found it “hilariously funny” that the party would hide his identity in October 2022; he was, after all, trying to curry favor with them.
