What's CITY Talking About?
Drug Addiction Dropoff Center Near Elite Club
Multnomah County has announced the location of a dropoff center for people caught with illegal drugs. And it has a notable neighbor: Soho House, an elite London-based social club that just opened its Portland site this year. To address the requirements of the rollback of Measure 110, the county is opening a deflection center by Sept. 1. [Oregonian 🔒]

6,000 E-Bikes With Rebates
The Portland Clean Energy Fund is looking to help 6,000 moderate- and low-income city residents buy electric bikes by 2028, with rebates. The program is also looking to train mechanics and work out storage and charging needs for apartment buildings. [OPB]
Camping Ban Starts Monday
Portland’s long-anticipated camping ban goes into effect on Monday. That means people experiencing homelessness face up to a week in jail if they don’t accept a placement in a shelter. [KATU]
