$125,000 Over Oaks Park Ride Malfunction
The mother of a 14-year-old is suing Oaks Park for $125,00 over the ride malfunction earlier this month, when AtmosFear was stuck upside down for 25 minutes. “No 14-year-old should have a near-death experience like that on what should be a fun day celebrating eighth-grade graduation,” Amy Yannotta says. AIPAC Group Reports $1.3 Million for Portland Congressional Race
A month after the primary concluded, an AIPAC-affiliated political action committee officially reported a $1.3 million donation related to Portland’s 3rd Congressional district. The donation funded $3.2 million in attack ads against former Multnomah County Commissioner Susheela Jayapal, who lost to Oregon Rep. Maxine Dexter. [OPB]
Arrest in a Triple Murder
An 18-year-old was arrested in the case of a March 2023 triple homicide. Two high schoolers, one of them a recent immigrant, along with a 20-year-old were shot to death as they drove through North Portland. [Oregonian]
