Oregon is seeing a spike in whooping cough cases. If you’ve been vaccinated, you likely wouldn’t even know you have the bacterial infection. But it’s a danger to infants under 6 months of age. This year there have been 16 reported infant cases in Oregon. Health officials recommend getting vaccinations, particularly during the latter part of pregnancy. [KOIN]

Whale Killed in Collision

Doug Fir Reopening Delayed

The Doug Fir Lounge’s move has hit a snag. A plan for an outdoor patio at its new Southeast Morrison location, the former location of Le Bistro Montage, won’t work because of the location of a sewer line. There are delays, but renovation is moving forward. For now, Doug Fir will continue to hold shows at the Mission Theater through at least the end of June. [Willamette Week]
