City Will Remove Northeast Bike Lane

Last month, protesters successfully halted the city’s plan to remove a recently installed bike lane on Northeast 33rd Avenue. But now the city is proceeding with the removal, citing their failure to notify neighbors of the original installation, which “touched on a degree of rawness and sensitivity from community members — in particular, the multi-generational Black families.” [Bike Portland]
