Portland’s Reform DA Wants Measure 110 Reform
Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt, who was elected on a reform platform, is a notable addition to the list of local leaders who want changes to Measure 110, Oregon’s voter-approved decriminalization of drugs. Schmidt wants it to be a misdemeanor to consume drugs in public, and to make it easier to prosecute drug-dealing. [Oregonian 🔒]

It’s a round-up of this week’s news: Kaiser Permanente workers’ historic strike, Providence Park's transformation back into the largest music venue in town, and the messy breakup between the Trail Blazers and Damian Lillard.
