Council Considers Options for Renaming Cesar Chavez Blvd.

The Portland City Council is discussing a proposal this week to quickly rename Cesar E. Chavez Boulevard to “Campesinos Boulevard,” which is a Spanish term for “farmworkers.” The proposal would bypass the usual process for renaming streets. But residents are still divided on the best street name, with other options such as reverting back to the original “39th Avenue” being suggested. [KGW]

Three Portland School Board members are expressing their skepticism over the district’s new AI guidebook, which provides staff with guidance on how generative AI can support their work. Oregon Solar Rebates Expected To Run Out

The Solar + Storage rebate program reopens June 15, offering up to $5,000 for solar panels and $2,500 for batteries for qualified homeowners.
